Canoe Rentals

For visitors who would rather make a splash in the springs, Washington County, with over 16,000 acres of freshwater, offers ample opportunities. The Holmes Creek, Choctawhatchee River and Econfina Creek are excellent canoeing, kayaking, tubing, and paddleboarding sites.

The state-designate canoe trail of Holmes Creek and the lower Choctawhatchee River both continue their flow through Washington County, carrying with it a rising tide of paddling, photography, tubing, paddleboarding and other water sport opportunities. In addition, the swift-flowing and remote Econfina Creek is a Washington County favorite of more experienced paddlers.

There are over 29 boat Ramps throughout Washington County.
