Worm fiddling involves sending vibrations into the ground that encourage earthworms to come to the surface. This has been a tradition in the Caryville area. This ancient practice has proven quite useful in the harvest of these soil dwellers and is the focal point of the Worm Fiddlin Festival. This year's festival will be held Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Caryville Town Hall from 10-4pm. This is a free event to the public.
The Worm Fiddlin Parade will begin at 10am at the corner of Highway 90 and Co Rd 279. The Worm Fiddlin Contest will begin at noon. Great gospel and country music will play all day. There will also be arts and crafts vendors, games, face painting, train rides and events for the kids.
